More Good Ones

Question
———-
Are we supposed to give you are stats along the way?

Answer
———-
You only need to send the stats after the last day of
the month.

Question
———-
Also, can we hand in results from a real account as
well as a demo account?

Answer
———-
At this time only one entry per person so you need to
put forward your demo or your live account. I never
thought about that one so it may change for future
challenges.

  1. There’s noticeably a bundle to know about this. I assume you made certain nice points in options also.

I experiment continually with new self-designed strategies on different Demo accounts. One of the latest strategies is proving to be extremely successful and if the performance is sustained, I should be showing a massive % gain on this Demo account by the end of the month. Now my question is: Even though “trading” will NOT have been done over the full month of June – that account was opened on 8 June 2009 – am I still eligible to enter the results in the June Challenge and compete with others without running the risk of being instantly disqualified ? All other applicable rules will be complied with of course !

      Hi Godfried,

Thanks for the question. No trouble at all, if you started trading at any time during the month we can still accept your results provided that you have made more than 10 trades and met all the other criteria. So, in short you do not need to start trading from the 1st of the month, you can start at any time.

      Best regards
      Wesley

    I finished trading my demo a while back now, BUT…there`s a couple of questions I have for you;

    1. The strategy I used is a modification of a strategy I got a while back(is this a problem, as in can it qualify as my own?);

    2. There`s only 9 closed trades in it instead of 10(so how far would your mercies strecth on this one?)…

    • Mark says:

      Hi Sinuvuyo,

Here’s what the rules state about using a modified version of an existing strategy:

You can not use someone else’s robot, system or method. We don’t want a situation where someone wins and breaches someone’s copyright by disclosing their robot, system or method. This must be your own approach to trading that you submit, and free from any restrictions.

We have to be strict about completing 10 trades in order to compete so even if you did submit your results with only 9 complete trades you may make it up until the verification process but one of the key criteria here is to ensure that 10 trades have been completed so unless you have 10 complete trades you won’t proceed to the next stage.

      Hope that helps!

      Best regards
      Wesley

Where can I find the learderboard for March ’09???

  5. Mark says:

    That’s it Sinovuyo

But it needs to be a reasonable explanation. Not a
paragraph. The explanation is the thing that takes the
    most time.

  6. Sinovuyo says:

Okay, so besides the report from the trading account itself and the explanation of the trading strategy used, what else is needed?

  7. Mark says:

    That’s so true brother.

I will keep you posted. There a lot happening this week.

    Hi,

Trading is all about patience and discipline, that\’s why they call it money management.
Patiently waiting for the final results! :) :) .

As always Mark\’ thanks for the timely responses.

    Mebs.

    Hi Mebs

The chances of two people coming up with exactly the
same system would be high, very high. I have never
seen it. I have seen similar systems but never exactly
    the same.

If there were two exactly the same systems the second
would not qualify. What I am trying to prevent is
someone copying one of the systems and wining again.

I am looking for new ideas every month but each case is
    different.

    Hope that answers your question.

    Mark

  10. Mebs says:

If I recall one cannot copy the system previously won, however if it\’s a new entrant or say is not a member and therefore had no access to those systems would that disqualify the person.

In my opinion I think the entrant should not be disqualified in such circumstances.

    Thx, Mebs.

  11. Mark says:

If you entered the previous challenge, then you are
automatically entered for this challenge. Basically,
if you enter any challenge, then you qualify for all
    future challenges.

The reason you must enter at least once is so that I
have an e-mail address for you. I need to be able to
    contact you.

    Thanks Mark

  12. Sinovuyo says:

Do i need to enter for next month`s competition again or will the system automatically do that for me?

  13. Mark says:

Sorry, I have no idea how the competitors are doing.
Only one or two people have sent me in their results. I
won’t know until after the end of the month the same as
    everyone else.

I can tell you that these things often go up and down.
You might have one month where someone wins with 200%
and another month 20% might win it. I guess that’s what
makes it exciting but right now I don’t know. By the
first week in March I will have an answer for you.

  14. Sinovuyo says:

Ok great, can we get an update of how the best traders in that month are doing (top 10 maybe), so as to know if the rest of us are keeping up or not? I would suggest a weekly update if possible.

  15. Mark says:

You can have any amount in your account. It could be
    $10 or $100,000.

    There is no minimum.

    Mark

  16. Sinovuyo says:

How much exactly must you have in your real account in order to qualify for this competition?

  17. Mark says:

    Hi Neil

There are no other benefit to entering the challenge.
If you place in the first 5 of either the Live or Demo
section you will have access to members area.

There are just too many challengers to give something
to everyone. The top three winners in each section will
be disclosed in a private members area.

    Mark

  18. Neil says:

If I enter & do not win, is there any ancillary benefit. Will the winners methodologies be disclosed? Thanks
    Neil
