How did you get started trading?
I have been in the market(stocks and futures for about 40 years and
have lost probably $50,000.But my dream has been to be independent of physical boundaries and
have enough to help those who need help. And achieve my 50 year goal.
I am trying so hard and still am trying but i always loose. So this time i have been trying with practice accounts.
After 4 months i have managed to take $100,000 down to $56,000
but i have traded maybe over 3000 practice trades. I haven't counted
could be more.
Why would you like to win the trading challenge?
SO for the contest I opened a new trade account at Oanda with $100,000
practice dollars.
Currently I am at $107,902.00 f I can keep it up I'll make about 30%
by month end.
I have been using charts and channels and triangles and very close stops.
I have some ideas but can't afford the data feed.
If I had that I would have no problem since my profession was computer
consultant I could program a very good system.

How did you get started trading?
I am 53, and started trading 7 years ago. I am a carer for my wife who is stricken with Rheumatoid Arthritus, after also suffering a mild stroke. I needed to work from home and have always been interested in Trading. So two busted banks later after initially dabbling in Options which I had some success after finally learning about the Greeks. I eventually built an A/c up to 40k from a 10k base and lost the lot!!. Got too big for my Boots and also got screwed by Market Makers. I now trade futures.
Why would you like to win the trading challenge?
To prove to MYSELF that if I put my plan into place, trade it, and show to my son who I am teaching, the knowledge that I have obtained, that discipline will make me the consistent winner I know I can be, and make a few extra dollars so I can take my wife to see her Grandson on the other side of the Country. At the moment I am Batting 2 winners out of 2 so to speak so I dont want to put the Mozz on myself LOL. Plus I only have a small a/c so I am only trading 1 Contract. I also know I need to do 10 trades for the month to be eligible. My Mentors if you are interested are, in Order, Mark Mcrae, Adam Hewison, Bill Poulos, George Smith, Price Headley, and Dr Barry Burns. It was Mark Mcrae who kept me going, unbeknown to him, after I just about gave up, after losing everything, and his words of encouragement years ago kept me going. I have made up my own system based on all my mentors titbits of infomation that I gleaned from there free info. But I have found one thing that is common to EVERY one of my mentors words of wisdom that makes a trader First and Foremost, DISCIPLINE.

How did you get started trading?
I've just started trading after reading many books, and have tried some paper-trading, sometimes successfully and sometimes not! One of these days, I hope to learn more about the foreign exchange market, but for right now I'm just focusing on stock options. My most common trade involves the QQQQs, because of the high volume being traded (easy liquidity) and the easy strike prices.
Why would you like to win the trading challenge?
I'd love to win the membership so I can learn more from experienced traders about what works and doesn't work. I NEED to, because I want to retire in a couple years, and I lost a good portion of my retirement account in the recent recession...Gotta build that back up!

How did you get started trading?
I was always intrigued with trading even while I was at school. I came down with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome after a bout of EBV virus, and this forced me into early retirement. Well I have some computer expertise and used a lot of my spare time buying information, EA’s and looking for free info about trading. I have spent a lot of time learning and working out how different indicators worked and what combinations confirmed what you were seeing. Well hopefully what I submit this month may give you an idea of my progress.
Why would you like to win the trading challenge?
I would like to win the Trading Challenge because it will be an achievement of sorts. It will confirm that I can still employ my mind in challenging ways, despite my setback. Also my hearing has taken a nosedive and I am saving for more powerful hearing aids and a Cochlear Implant in the near future.

How did you get started trading?
One day back in 1992 a fellow showed up at my place of work promoting a system. He told me about moving averages and the crossover points and how one could make good money from the stock market. I forget his name now, but I was interested and I bought the package. I looked at it but went no further. Many years later (2006) I was messing around on the internet, and something brought my attention to Forex (probably one of the millions of bucket shop adverts) and I recalled the course and decided to take a look at this Forex story.... It went from demo to live trading after that (wiped out several accounts already but improving slowly). The rest is history.
Why would you like to win the trading challenge?
That is pretty obvious, firstly everyone likes to win something, but for me the best motivation for winning the challenge is that I know I can win it, if I can curb my greed gland and stick to my rules of trade. (Which as you all know is easier said than done.) So all ye reading this nonsense of mine, if you have not entered, you can not win....

How did you get started trading?
14 – 17 July 2007 paid RM10k to attend the most expensive share options course in Kuala Lumpur and came back a confused man with little help coming from the course provider. Among my friends who attended the same course I found out that I was the more superior confused guy. Determined as I was, I started trading demo account and conveniently destroyed the whole account within the very same night and run down a few more along the way. Very excited with my meager achievement, 2 weeks after starting the demo account, I ventured into the unknown deep end of my live account. Sure enough as predicted I replayed the same oversight. I started analyzing what went wrong with my super achievement of which I never told anyone about it at that time. I only told my friends the rosy part of the story. I realize that nothing can substitute experience, skill, knowledge and understanding of the market. You need to go through these stages for you to become better person in whatever you do in life. With the little experience that I have now, it has put the smile back to my face, not that I’m doing fantastic but enough to keep me going with some comfort. I have now move on to trade forex which I find better suit my lifestyle and commitment.
Why would you like to win the trading challenge?
I would like to be consistently among the top successful traders in the region if not the world and that is my ultimate goal. It’s not so much of winning the trade challenge cause with a little bit of luck on your side, winning the trade can happen anytime but more important is to “win the battle” and be a member of the elite group in surefiretradingchallenge. The past winners of surefiretradingchallenge have been run away juggernauts but never mind let them conquer the market and we continue to surmount our forex problem. At least we still have the fighting chance to win the profile competition.

How did you get started trading?
How I started trading is 2 yes ago my Chinese friend shared that forex is a cleaner play than stocks and the forex market is too big for any big boys to try to influence the market. I tested out opened demo and enjoyed it especially trading the smaller timeframes for excitement and fast money and longer time frames for proper setup trades.
Why would you like to win the trading challenge?
Why I would like to win is to help my fellow traders out there with good profitable and reliable system so that they need not spent sleepless nights weeks and months backtesting like what I did over the last one year. I want to share a good system so that I can be a blessing to others and in return be blessed. I would also like to win so I can answer every questions in the forum and be very active and truthful in my system should any doubt arises

How did you get started trading?
Where should i begin my story it happened in a basement in canada where i immigrated from India and could not find jobs to earn a living. It was cruel whether for a newbie in canada sending resumes after resumes with no reply. My resources were beginning to die and had no one to care standing at the bus stop for long time in the snow .I decided that this is it i quit my temporary job and hooked up to net .Started some online business but got stuck with some over invoiced checks which led to loss of my account as the bank froze them. I had some cash few thousand dollars and internet. I wanted money real and quick i could not trust any body. Then one night I discovered FXCM and i was excited i did not sleep for almost 22hrs till i established all the Know how of opening the account.I first opened a demo account and started placing trades the pip movement alarm almost got into my blood i could here it while sleeping and always saw the market move against my desired direction. I took some courses free on site using RSI, MCDA,Febonnachi and GRID .I made some money on demo and could not wait to open a real one. the first real account was of 2000 US dollars .I started trading and made 300 dollars gbp:usd it was my first trade was happy and i went to sleep for almost two days i did not trade very happy with my self for having found a method to earn money.
The next day i trade in the morning session i opened a trade on eur:usd pair made a few dollars and opened gpb:usd pair i did not place a stop loss then i saw it plunge and my heart beat stared to rise i brought against the trend and faced 40 percent loss of account.I thought i should withdraw my account and start to work as its not easy as it looked. I tried few more trades and wiped my account .I did not speak about forex i started to work i got good wages and after 6 months i opened an account again mini i did some studies on trading timing euro ,asian,uk and us session. I started to trade and within two days wiped my account.
I stopped trading for one year and the opened another account 2000US Dollars and traded to
make some money i made 500 dollars in two days by second week i was up by 750 dollars and running. I did lot of EA trading ,broker tricks, risk management and stop loss i make atleat 3 good trades in five trades. I will look to make a money as i trade better in large account
I should atleast have 50% equity every month It looks not so distant.
Why would you like to win the trading challenge?
Money can buy but not give you what you lost for your family ,night outs, games and even good sleep .As we know all the techniques have to change every day winning on forex is a challenge almost winning against time and automation. I want to win agaist myself and free my mind i trade like a robot cold
Remember movie "Terminator" during trading.I will build EA keeping in mind the sessions, news, stoploss, volatility and fake trades to begin trading
